New York football is in the best shape it’s been in years. The Giants are on pace to win their most games since 2016. The Jets are in line to win their most games since 2015. The Buffalo Bills might just be the best team in the entire NFL. Football in New York is once again in good shape.

In the seasons since the Giants and Jets were relevant, there's been a lot of change in management, coaching, and personnel. For the first time since those playoff seasons, there are legit reasons to be optimistic about both clubs and there is a sense of stability in the New York NFL franchises. The Jets are currently 6-3 while both the Bills and Giants are 6-2.

In Week 10 on Sunday, Buffalo will look to stomp on the tough Minnesota Vikings, with Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen listed as 'day-to-day.' The Giants have an easy matchup against the lowly Houston Texans and the Jets are on a bye.

The Bills are currently favorites to win the Super Bowl, behind arguably the best quarterback in the NFL in Josh Allen. Buffalo has been one of the best teams in the past few seasons and there’s no reason to expect that to change in the future.

The Jets and Giants are looking to lock up playoff appearances in very competitive divisions. All 4 teams in the AFC East are over .500 and the Jets are just a half-game behind the division-leading Bills, who they beat in Week 9. The Giants are tied for second place behind the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, but they continue to play inspired football.

This could be the first time all 3 New York teams are in the playoff since 1981. For the first time in a long time, New York football is competitive.
