Donald Trump Admits He Only Got A Christmas Card For Melania Trump - No Gift Yet

President Donald Trump talked to the troops via a video call from Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening just hours before Christmas. During the course of the conversation, the POTUS admitted that he hasn’t given Melania Trump a Christmas gift yet but had already chosen a nice card for her.

“Oh, that's a tough question,” President Trump replied after an intelligence analyst asked what he gave Melania Trump for Christmas, according to Daily Mail. The president then went on to explain that he’s still working on what gift to give his wife but also revealed that he’s already got a nice card for her.

“I got her a beautiful card that – actually I had a number of them picked and I picked the nicest one,” Trump told the military officials he was video conferencing. “And I think I'll answer that by saying, I'm still working on the Christmas present. Is that OK?”

While rumors about Donald Trump and Melania not sleeping in the same bed have been swirling around, he also told soldiers that his relationship with his wife is doing just fine. “We love our family and we love each other and we've had a great relationship like you do hopefully with your spouses, we've had a great relationship,” Trump added.

He then thanked the personnel for reminding him of the gift and said he still has some to grab a gift for Melania. “There's a little time left. Not too much, but there's a little time left,” Trump said. “You made me think, I'm gonna have to start working on that real fast.”

Then the topic shifted into what the President’s favorite Christmas movie might be. “Well I'm in Home Alone 2,” Donald Trump responded, which was met with a round of laughter from the soldiers.

Trump did make a cameo appearance in the 1992 Christmas classic. He gave directions to Macaulay Culkin’s character Kevin McCallister when the latter asked where the lobby of the Plaza was in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

“But it's been a good movie and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly,” President Trump fondly recalled his brief role in the movie. “And it was an honor to do it. And it turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It's a big Christmas hit – one of the biggest. So it's an honor to be involved in something like that, you always like to see success.”
