FBI Director Kash Patel released images of unspent bullets recovered at the scene of Wednesday's deadly shooting at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, saying the inscriptions on the ammunition point to "an ideological motive."The photos, posted on social media, showed shell casings engraved with the phrase "ANTI-ICE."
"An initial review of the evidence shows an ideological motive behind this attack," Patel wrote, adding that "these despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off."
This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities.

The shooting took place shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday at ICE's field office on North Stemmons Freeway. Authorities said a gunman positioned on a nearby rooftop opened fire on detainees, striking three. One detainee died and two others remain hospitalized. No ICE personnel were injured.
Law enforcement officials said the gunman, who has since been identified as Joshua Jahn, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound as agents approached.
Patel linked the shooting to other recent attacks against ICE facilities, noting that just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate facility in Prairieland, Texas. "It has to end, and the FBI and our partners will lead these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice," Patel said.
The incident comes amid heightened scrutiny and protests directed at ICE across the country, some of which have turned violent. DHS Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said last week that assaults on ICE officers have risen by more than 1,000 percent in recent weeks, calling on political actors from "the far left" to tone down the rhetoric:
The department linked the rise in attacks to recent public comments by Democratic officials, including remarks by Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett comparing ICE to "slave patrols," Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz calling the agency the "modern-day Gestapo," and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker likening the U.S. to Nazi Germany.
Referring to yesterday's shooting President Trump condemned "Deranged Radical Leftists" , linking the attack to the assassination of the political activist Charlie Kirk. "This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to 'Nazis,'" he wrote on Truth Social:
