Today is Free Comic Book Day and you know what that means! Free comic!

If you aren't aware Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book stores across the U.S. and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. Of course you'll need to check with your local comic book shop for its participation and rules.

Check out the videos below of an explanation of what Free Comic Book Day is and Stan Lee promoting Free Comic Book Day.

Now in its 12th year, the event has grown in size and scale but the official website has made it easy to find out which stores are participating. To find out what comic book stores in your area will have free comics check out the official website and type in your zip code to search for locations.
