According to reports, the filming of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 have already begun earlier this month. However, the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 release date won't be until sometime in April 2015. What's more, initial predictions proposed Season 5 will dive into the "A Song of Ice Fire" series, despite the fact that creator George R.R. Martin has yet to complete the book.

At the end of book five, "A Dance with Dragons," Jon Snow was allegedly killed by his men of the Night's Watch. Despite Snow's rank as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, the men are not eager to stand beside him at all. When Jon asks the Night's Watch to rally south and save Winterfell, Bowen Marsh decided to murder Jon Snow instead. However, as we have revealed back in March, Jon Snow isn't dead after all.

"Some major characters -- yes, I always had plans, what Tyrion's arc was going to be through this, what Arya's arc was going to be through this, what Jon Snow's arc is going to be," slipped George R.R. Martin during an interview with io9, "I knew what the principal deaths were going to be, and when they were coming. That would be the closest thing."

If Jon Snow isn't dead, then we feel that his background is worth exploring. As Ned Stark’s bastard child, Jon Snow has overcome his fair share of injustice. However, Jon Snow may not be a bastard child after all. A complex yet plausible fan theory suggests that Jon Snow could actually be the son of Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister, and Rhaegar Targaryen, who is the son of the mad king Aerys Targaryen. Yup.

Did you know about the R+L=J theory all along? Are you still skeptical? Or did you just have your mind blown? Either way, be sure to watch video below to digest the long-form explanation:
