In a bizarre incident in Pennsylvania, a group of men had to be reportedly escorted out by the police after they were seen performing a theatrical "exorcism" for "dead trees" in the lumber aisle of a Home Depot in Dickson City on June 21.

The bizarre incident reportedly happened in Dickson City, a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, 4 miles north of Scranton.

The Dickson City Police Department claim that at around 3:30 p.m. on June 21, they were summoned to the store after receiving a report of “disorderly people having an exorcism” in the lumber aisle of Home Depot on Commerce Boulevard, New York Post reported.

According to a now-viral post from the Dickson City Police Department, authorities claim that demonstrators were performing the ritual in the lumber aisle for “the dead trees.”

The incident was reportedly described in Dickson City Police Department's Facebook page amongst a long list of the small-town department’s daily log of calls. The Facebook post has since gone viral and has been shared more than 819 times as of Monday, June 28, Global News reported.

"3:26 pm Commerce Blvd. @ Home Depot for disorderly people having an exorcism in the lumber aisle for the dead trees. They were escorted out of the building," authorities wrote in the Facebook post.

According to Dickson City Police Chief William Bilinski, the exorcists were two men dressed in black and were “chanting and moaning” in the lumber aisle and looked like they were trying to do an exorcism.

Another officer reportedly said that it was a “séance type of thing for the dead,” PhillyVoice reported.

The people involved in the bizarre incident were reportedly escorted out of the building and no charges were filed against them.

The bizarre incident left commenters on the Dickson City Police Department's Facebook page dumb-founded and confused.

One commenter suggested that maybe it should have said “having an exercise.”
“Dang autocorrect,” the comment continued.

“The Power drill of Christ compels you,” wrote another.

"May the price of plywood come down. The name of the Christ compels you," a man wrote.

"They must have seen the price of lumber," another commenter wrote.

A woman even offered to light a candle for the lumber at Lowe's.

The staff at the store reportedly declined to comment on the incident.
