A handicapped man allegedly brutally murdered his own 14-year-old daughter after she turned down his advances before proceeding to rape and violate her corpse in Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, India on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, the 40-year-old suspect, a resident of Jaita Dongar village in the Bajranggarh Police Station limits, lodged an official complaint and reported that his minor daughter had gone missing from their home. Following the accused's complaint, the authorities launched an inquiry into the disappearance.
During the investigation, the accused's neighbors informed the police that the victim was last seen alive accompanying her father on Tuesday afternoon. After the police questioned the suspect again regarding the teen girl's sudden disappearance, the accused reportedly broke down and confessed that he had taken his daughter to Damdoli forest at around 12 p.m. on Tuesday with the intention of raping her, India Today reported.
The father further related that, when the victim refused his advances and threatened to inform other family members about his attempted sexual assault, he proceeded to strangle her to death before deciding to ruthlessly rape and defile her corpse.
Based on the information provided by the accused, a team of police officers went to the Damdoli forest and recovered the girl's body.
Following the violent incident, the officers arrested the accused and booked him for charges of murder and rape under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In a similar but unrelated incident, a 42-year-old man allegedly raped his 15-year-old minor daughter as punishment after seeing her spend too much time on her mobile phone in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, Latin Times reported.
The father, a trader by profession, reportedly got angry after seeing his teen daughter wasting too much time on her cell phone. Out of anger and frustration, he allegedly forced himself on her and raped her multiple times over the last few months as some sick form of punishment.
On Jan. 22, the underage girl refused to leave her school even after all her classes ended. When she was questioned by one of her teachers, the girl informed her that she did not want to go back home as her father has been sexually assaulting her.
Following this, the teacher called her father to school for an intervention. The accused reportedly subsequently confessed to his heinous crimes and apologized. The teacher assisted the minor girl in filing a police complaint against her father on Jan. 22.
After the incident was brought to the police's attention, the father was arrested and sent to judicial remand on Jan. 23.
