Victoria Ruffo has been unstoppable since her career embarked in 1979 doing voice-over in the animated film "Ringing Bell." Since, Ruffo was part of many films throughout the '80s. However, the Mexican actress is primarily known for her endless roles in telenovelas.

Ruffo, who was once married to comedian Eugenio Derbez and together have a son, kicked off her novela career in the early '80s as supporting role and co-protagonist in productions such as "Conflictos de Amor," "Al Rojo Vivo" and "En Busca del Paraíso." It was not until 1983, however, that Chilean producer Valentín Pimsteín gave Ruffo her first-ever leading role as Natalia Ramirez in "La Fiera." Following her breakthrough role, the iconic actress has been the leading lady in countless of soaps.

We celebrate Ruffo's 54th birthday on Tuesday with all the times she slayed as the leading role in a telenovela. Happy birthday, Victoria!

1) LA FIERA (1983-1984): Ruffo portrayed Natalia "La Fiera" Ramirez alongside Guillermo Capetillo who portrayed Victor Alfonso. "La Fiera" is a poor girl who conquers the heart of a rich man. Ruffo won Best Young Lead Actress at the 1985 Premios TVyNovelas.

2) JUANA IRIS (1985): Ruffo was Juana Iris Madrigal Martínez in the Televisa novela produced by Carlos Téllez and Lucero Suárez. She and Valentín Trujillo starred as protagonists.

3) VICTORIA (1987-1988): The actress played Victoria Martinez Medina in this telenovela that tells the adventures of a foreign girl who goes to Mexico with the aim of finding a husband.

4) SIMPLEMENTE MARIA (1989-1990): "Simplemente Maria" tells the story of a poor and innocent girl from a village in Mexico who heads to the city to make money. Ruffo portrays María López de Carreño in this classic '90s novela.

5) CAPRICHO (1993): After a three-year hiatus, the Mexican actress returned to the biz as Cristina Aranda Montaño in "Capricho."

6) POBRE NIÑA RICA (1995-1996): In this novela, where she portrayed Consuelo Villagrán García-Mora, Ruffo starred as protagonist alongside Ariel López Padilla. Paulina Rubio was also in this novela as co-lead role.

7) VIVO POR ELENA (1998): Ruffo stars alongside Saul Lisazo in the novela that tells the story of Elena Carvajal, a poor young woman who attends the university to gain a degree in psychology.

8) ABRAZAME MUY FUERTE (2000-2001): Ruffo, Fernando Colunga and Aracely Arámbula starred as the protagonists in this classic novela. Ruffo won the 2001 Premios La Maravilla for Best female co-acting year with her leading role as Cristina Álvarez Rivas de Rivero.

9) LA MADRASTRA (2005): The actress was all the rage with her leading role as María Fernández Acuña de San Román. The novela was such a rating success that Televisa ordered 10 extra episodes after it was originally scheduled to end after 115 episodes. Ruffo won the Best First Actress award at the 2006 Premios Bravo.

10) VICTORIA (2007-2008): Unlike the '80s novela with the same name, this Colombian telenovela, starring Ruffo, Mauricio Ochmann and Arturo Peniche, tells the story of a woman who falls in love with a dashing younger man, when her marriage collapses around her.

11) TRIUNFO DE AMOR (2010-2011): Ruffo stars as Victoria Gutiérrez de Sandoval in "Triunfo de Amor" alongside Maite Perroni and William Levy as protagonists. This telenovela nabbed three awards at the 2012 Premios TVyNovelas awards.

12) CORONA DE LAGRIMAS (2012-2013): Ruffo portrayed Refugio Chavero Hernández in the novela that nabbed her the 2013 Premios TVyNovelas for Best Lead Actress.

13) LA MALQUERIDA (2014): Ruffo portrayed Cristina Maldonado Reyes de Domínguez/ vda. de Rivas in the recent telenovela produced by José Alberto Castro for Televisa and broadcast by Canal de las Estrellas.

14) LAS AMAZONAS (2016): The actress played Inés Huerta in the new telenovela "Las Amazonas." The novela, which premiered on May 16, is an original story based on some arguments of the Venezuelan telenovela of 1985, Las Amazonas created by César Miguel Rondón.
