Getting toddlers to pose for a picture is, by far, one of the toughest tasks for parents. Getting a great family picture comes with great responsibilties, and more than half of the work is done if kids pose right for the pic.

Parents oftentimes struggle with getting at least one photogenic picture of their kids. Of course making weird faces sometimes helps, but there’s a much simpler trick to get the kids pose for the camera just right.

Here’s a simple but very effective trick that Diana used to do: when William was younger, she kept bright-colored toys around him just to keep the little prince always in a good mood.

When kids are usually surrounded by their favorite toys, they have no reason to cringe or be distracted. Their favorite toys automatically get them in a jovial mood, and this is a better way to get them to smile bright for the cameras.

This brilliant idea worked wonders for Princess Diana every time she got William to pose for a photo when he was a kid. There’s a picture of Diana with Charles where they're both seen posing for a family picture. Diana is seen holding a bright-yellow-colored ball in her hand, which got Prince William’s attention.

There’s yet another photo of a younger Prince William, who was once on a picnic with his parents. In the photo, Diana and Charles are seen trying to make him pose, and his eyes are glued on the small wooden toy that’s lying next to him.

In both these pictures, William isn’t seen looking straight into the camera. But thanks to Diana’s trick, the family pics came out really cute. Now this is something that new-age parents can try.
