The Presidential Election is only a few days away and the anticipation is killing us all. Throughout the debates, both candidates pointed out things that the other has done and now it seems as if the FBI is taking notice.

According to NBC News, the FBI revealed that they are currently reviewing a new batch of emails that “appear to be pertinent” to its investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hilary Clinton’s use of a private server while she was secretary of state.

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation," FBI director James Comey said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. "I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

The site reports that a senior law enforcement official told the outlet that the Comey letter was sent out to the Hill “out of an abundance of caution” and to be extra-thorough.

Comey added that “although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant,” he believes it is important to delve further into the newly uncovered emails in order to ascertain that no wrongdoing took place.

In July, Comey announced that the FBI would not recommend criminal charges against Clinton, 69, though he did note that the former secretary of state’s handling of sensitive information was “extremely careless.”

While there is no indication, the official said, that Clinton, her campaign or the State Department was withholding information. However, someone who was investigated in the Clinton email case did not hold the emails.

The news comes 11 days shy of the election and has taken the Clinton campaign by surprise.

“No idea,” a top Clinton campaign spokesperson told NBC News.

While many of us may be scratching our heads because the first inclination of any wrongdoing came from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, it seems as if the FBI is taking the matter seriously.

Trump as we can imagine was elated to find out the news and shred his joy with New Hampshire supporters at a campaign event.

I need to open with a very critical breaking news announcement," Trump said to cheers that at times drowned out his remarks. "The FBI has just sent a letter to Congress informing them that they have discovered new emails pertaining to the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's investigation. This was a grave miscarriage of justice. It is about to be corrected."

He went on to further smear Clinton by questioning her position if she is granted the presidency.

“Hillary Clinton’s corruption is on a scale we have never seen before,” he told his supporters. “We must not let her take her criminal shame into the Oval Office.”

Clinton has yet to make a public statement about the investigation but we are sure we will hear from her very soon.
