Unfortunately, COVID-19 has shifted and disrupted every aspect of our daily lives. Our homes are our new office, park, restaurant, movie theater, gym, spa and hair salon. For everyone's well being, we all must stay in quarantine and avoid any physical contact with people.

The measure has caused millions of bussinesses to close their doors, including beauty parlors. Women nationwide had to get back to understanding and getting to know how to do their hair, and while this can be a frustration for some, taking a break for regular hair appointments for the sake of taking care of ourselves, this is a great period to give your hair some love and be heat-free.

Celebrity hairstylist Angela Stevens is sharing with Latin Times tips that will leave your hair feeling healthy until you can get back to the salon.

  • ACV RINSE - A treat for a dry itchy scalp or when wearing extensions. Use an applicator bottle and mix Apple Cider Vinegar with Aloe Vera, Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and a cleansing shampoo.

Recommended Product: Cantu's Sulfate-Free Cleansing Shampoo

  • HOT OIL TREATMENT - Boil some water in a pot and dip a bottle of tea tree or jojoba oil in for 1 minute or until the oil gets warm. Apply to your hair and scalp after you’ve done a deep clean and conditioned. The hot oil will open the cuticle more and seal in the moisture. Put on a cap and let the products sink in!

Recommended Product: Cantu's Tea Tree & Jojoba Hair & Scalp Oil

  • REHYDRATE YOUR HAIR - Sometimes saturating your hair a bit more with a leave-in or curl cream will bring it back to life. Use a substantial amount of product section by section, twisting or braiding that section before moving on to the next. Your hair will thank you for it! Recommended
