Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt had a tumultuous relationship years ago. But after their split, the “Murder Mystery” actress said a touching thing about her ex-partner.

While speaking with Vanity Fair, Aniston said that despite her and Pitt’s differences, she would love the actor for the rest of her life. The couple’s divorce was confirmed in 2005.

“It’s like the ebb and flow of every relationship,” Aniston said. “It’s hard; it gets easy; it gets fun again. What’s hard to sustain is some ideal that it’s perfect. That’s ridiculous,” she added.

Jennifer Aniston also shared her ideas regarding what she thinks is fantastic about a marriage. She said that getting through the ebbs and flows with the same person, re-meeting and reconnecting amid different issues is the best.

The actress also described what she loved most about being married and said that divorce has become a very easy option among couples. “You have marriage within marriages within marriages,” she said.

“That’s what I love about marriage. That’s what I want in a marriage. It’s unfortunate, but we live in a very disposable society. Those moments where it looks like, ‘Uh-oh, this isn’t working!’ — those are the most important, transformative moments,” she continued.

But despite her thoughts on divorce, Jennifer Aniston said that she decided to call it quits after realizing that they were on the wrong pages and could no longer rescue the early passion that brought them together. However, the actress also said that Pitt thought otherwise.

“We believe in different things, I guess,” she said. “You can’t force a relationship, even if it’s your view of how you would like it to be conducted.”

Shortly after Aniston and Pitt ended their marriage, the award-winning actor became linked to his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie. After exclusively dating for a couple of years, Pitt and Jolie tied the knot on Aug. 23, 2014. However, they also ended up in a divorce, which was finalized in September 2016.

Pitt and Jolie were blessed with six children together, four of which were adopted and two were their biological kids. The couple is currently co-parenting Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne and Knox.
