American radio show host Howard Stern believes that people who support Donald Trump are the ones who are despised by him.
Howard Stern and Trump have been friends in the past, with the U.S. President have made several appearances on his show over a few years. During the same shows, Trump has also been caught making lewd comments on women.
The radio legend criticized Trump and said on his Sirius XM radio show that he would be “disgusted” by the same people who vote for him.
“The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most, love him the most,” Stern said. “The people who are voting for Trump for the most part... he wouldn’t even let them in a f***ing hotel.”
Stern further added that he does not hate Trump. However, he hates the people who voted for him and for not possessing the required intelligence to vote. His rant ended with a note for Trump, asking him to stand down.
“I do think it would be extremely patriotic of Donald to say, ‘I’m in over my head, and I don’t want to be president anymore,’” he said.
Stern further said that doing to will make Trump patriotic to an extent that it would make it easier for him to go back and hug him, love him again and have a meal with him.
But he concluded that it is unlikely that this would ever happen.
The friend-turned-stranger has been particularly vocal about his views concerning the U.S. president. He has criticized him in the past for his comments on using disinfectant as a method to treat coronavirus.
Trump is known to have made several lewd comments on women on Sterns’ shows in the past. The comments made by him were in the highlights throughout the 2016 campaign. This was the time when Trump was already being criticized over a 2005 tape wherein he talked about grabbing women by their genitals.
He made an appearance on Sterns’ show in 2004 wherein he was recorded saying that “troubled women are always the best in bed.” Stern decided not to replay these tapes during the 2016 controversy because he thinks that it would have been a betrayal to do the same.
