The good news for the Indianapolis Colts is that they currently pace the NFC South division with an overall record of 6-3. Two games clear of the second place Tennessee Titans, the Colts have certainly looked good at times this season on both sides of the ball. The bad news however is that after an embarrassing 38-8 home loss to the lowly St. Louis Rams, Indianapolis is now in danger of seeing their stranglehold on the division lead shrink if they're not able to take down the 4-5 Titans this weekend at LP Field in Nashville. Looking to hand the Titans their fifth loss in six games, head coach Chuck Pagano says his Colts need to find more balance on offense and getting production out of the running game will be the biggest part of that.

"Our inability to run the football of late, it hurts your football team," Pagano said recently. "Time of possession, your three-and-out field position, the defense is having to play more, it affects so many different things. Our ability to run the football and stop the run is paramount and we got to get back to doing that. It makes it difficult because you become one-dimensional. When people take the run away from you and you got to drop back and throw it every time, then they're teeing off and they're not honoring the run game."

While Indianapolis looks to rectify problems in the running game, the Titans have significant issues of their own. Coming off a 29-27 home loss to previously winless Jacksonville, the Titans and head coach Mike Munchak know things need to change in a hurry since they're still in play for a division title or Wild Card berth. Unfortunately for the organization, the Titans will play their remaining 7 games without the services of quarterback Jake Locker, who suffered a Lisfranc injury in the second quarter of the Jacksonville game.

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will now carry the load under center and as he and the Titans - who have dropped eight of nine to Indianapolis - try to find consistency, Mike Munchak knows the only thing they need to worry about is taking things one game at a time.

"We're just concentrating on these seven weeks," he said. "That's all we're concerned about. Next year is next year with Locker. Right now we just got to go forward and try to win a game."

Winning the game is certainly easier said than done but with plenty at stake, expect both the Titans and Colts to come out full-go Thursday night in Tennessee.
