iOS 7.1
iOS 7.1 jailbreak news. Apple

Well this is unfortunate news for fans of jailbreaking their iOS devices! It seems the latest iOS 7.1 update actually kills the latest jailbreak for Apple’s software. The best part is Apple is taunting these hackers and giving them credit for letting the company make the latest iOS 7.1 update much more secure.

Since Apple’s release of iOS 7.1, many reports have popped up online stating that the update is very dangerous for those who have jailbroken devices. This latest update is known to bring in plenty of bug fixes, improvements as well as some brand new features for the users to indulge on but the update also kills your jailbreak and it seems as of now there is no way to downgrade.

Cult of Mac notes that the evad3r team is credited by name several times in a new security document from Apple on its support site. The company is basically thanking the jailbreakers for helping them fix the holes exploited. As with any other jailbreak, every time one is released Apple is there to analyze and fix the vulnerabilities to the software.

Additionally Apple also credited Stefan Esser, another iOS hacker, for a bug that could enable an attacker to entice a user into downloading a malicious app via Enterprise App Download. Apple’s latest iOS 7.1 has yet to be jailbroken, and some believe it could take a long time before it actually is.
