Apple sources reveal iOS 8 beta 4 release date. Apple

A source close to Apple revealed to BGR that the release date for iOS 8 beta 4 will be July 21. The date is consistent with other Apple beta launch dates, which typically releases in two-week gaps. However, BGR was off by one day in its prediction for iOS 8 beta 3 release date.

BGR regularly publishes reports predicting future release dates for iOS betas, and while the predictions are sometimes off by a day or two as was the case with beta 3, they are usually close to the actual date barring any last-minute schedule changes by Apple. As a result, it is reasonable to believe the fourth beta should arrive early next week rather than the following week.

iOS 8 beta 3 introduced Wi-Fi calling for iPhones but only on the T-Mobile network in the US. Other features included Xcode 6, Find My iPhone 4.0, Find My Friends 4.0 and Apple Configuration 1.7. While iOS Beta 2 included making Apple's Podcasts application a native one plus marked the iPad debut of the new QuickType keyboard.

Furthermore according to Apple Insider the next beta of OS X Yosemite is set to arrive sometime next week. Both free software updates are scheduled to launch this fall alongside Apple's iPhone 6.

When it launches this fall iOS 8 will feature support for third-party keyboards and Siri-based controls of smart home appliances. The software will also include a new Health application that will collect users' health info and data, while the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the 5s will become accessible for third-party developers to utilize.
