It has been over two months since Apple released its latest edition of the iPhone.
Consumer Reports called the iPhone 5 a "winner" and said it is "among the best smart phones" in its ratings and the best iPhone yet, its completed tests confirm.
One user that posted on CNET's review board said she was glad that Apple took extra time to make a much more beautiful and sturdier phone.
"Overall the iPhone 5 is an amazing phone that I am glad I purchased," the user wrote. "It is visually beautiful to look at, so much more quicker and that LTE internet connection is so quick I can't even speak more highly of it. The iPhone 5 is sturdy, reliable and beautiful."
On Phone Arena's review board, said the iPhone 5 is "a beast, but a beautiful good looking one."
"You should all give it a try to feel that luxury in your hands, extremely responsive, one hand operated smoothly, battery is great and lasts even if you're a heavy user of games and social networking like i'm," the user wrote. "I had a galaxy s3 blue one and it was large to fit in my bucket, laggy and battery is less than a day happy to get rid of it."
However, one user said the phone "could be better," but "overall is the best phone on the market."
A Phone Dog reader said the phone is "Apple's best yet."
"Even as pretty as the new Nokia smartphones are or even the Droid DNA with that crazy ppi #, I still give the crown over to iPhone 5," the user wrote. "Its compatibility with other iOS and Mac OSX devices is phenomenal, they work perfectly together and you never have to worry about Apple's iCloud services, because not only are they the best, in my opinion, but they also have the best support out of any company out there."
When the phone was released, a few things overshadowed the excitement.
Auto experts found that Apple's new Maps app "lacks the details, traffic data, and customization options offered by the free Google navigation app found on Android phones."
Apple's CEO Tim Cook apologized for the "frustration [the app] has caused customers and promised to be doing everything they can to make the app better.
