According to various reports Apple is planning to announce the highly-rumored and anticipated 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The announcement is said to be set Monday, September 15 ahead of the launch Thursday, September 25. GForGames cites an "inside source" as claiming the 5.5-inch model will be called the "iPhone Air," with the 16 GB version selling in China for about $965 while the 4.7-inch version will start out at $850 for 32 GB. Don't worry these prices are most likely for the devices off contract.

MacRumors reports that this story actually contradicts earlier claims that the 4.7-inch iPhone will launch Friday, September 19 which is a bit more likely because it mirrors the past two iPhone launches. Apple typically launches new products on Friday so a September 25th release, which is a Thursday, seems more unlikely.

Meanwhile a report from Wei Feng revealed that Apple would offer different sizes in the two variations of the iPhone 6. The 5.5-inch version will have a 128 GB version while the 16 GB version will be excluded from the 4.7-inch version. It is said the storage size will the biggest differentiator and selling points between both models.

At this point it has been highly debated if Apple will launch both devices at the same time. Some reports like Bloomberg report that the company would be doing so, while previous reports claim the display technology and battery life will delay the 5.5-inch devices launch date.

The iPhone 6 is expected to feature larger screens, with a thinner profile, faster A8 processor, and other new features. The camera of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is also said to feature an optical image stabilization system, while the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone will use a new lens module. Both devices will come equipped with the recently revealed iOS 8 software and utilize Apple's new health initiative.
