During their recent reunion, Jennifer Aniston admitted she was astonished to hear Matthew Perry's forthright remarks about his difficulties while filming "Friends."

The two recently reunited with the rest of the core ensemble for a much-anticipated reunion special. They reminisced about their time on the Emmy-winning sitcom.

During one session, Perry discussed how delivering his character's lines put him under a lot of pressure, and how it would affect him if his jokes went flat.

"I felt like I was going to die if they didn't laugh," Perry explained per Cosmopolitan. "I would sweat and shake… and it's not healthy, for sure."

"If I didn't get the laugh I was supposed to get, I would freak out," he added.

During an interview on The Today Show, Jennifer Aniston said that she didn't realize the level of worry and self-torture placed on Matthew Perry.

However, she acknowledged that, in retrospect, the revelation "makes sense."

Matthew's words stunned a lot of people, including Lisa Kudrow, who said during the reunion that he "didn't tell" the rest of the group how he was feeling at the time.

Following his presence on the reunion show, fans were concerned about Matthew Perry's health due to his anxiety and his apparent slurred speech.

In an update from Friends executive producer Kevin Bright, it appeared like the 51-year-old actor was doing well. Kevin Bright told The Hollywood Reporter that he spoke with Matthew and that it was fantastic to see him again. The producer addressed concerns concerning Matthew Perry's health, who stated that he had nothing to say about it. He added Matthew has grown stronger and better since the producer last saw him, and he's looking forward to the future.

Jennifer also revealed her crush on David Schwimmer. She stated that they are still very much in love with each other.

"I think there was something about unrequited love. I think David and I loved each other - we love each other still to this day - so I do think there was something that had to do with that. And you were investing in something that was very relatable: the one that you never could have or the one you wanted to be with but they couldn't quite get it together."

Following a series of setbacks due to the pandemic, Friends: The Reunion finally premiered last month.

During the program, former co-stars James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Christina Pickles, and Elliot Gould joined the group in reminiscing about some of their favorite memories from filming Friends.

A-list Friends fans such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Beckham, BTS, and Malala Yousafzai also made appearances.
