The surviving Tsarnaev brother told officials that the Boston Marathon attack was originally planned for July 4. According to CBS's John Miller, a former assistant director to the FBI, officials questioning Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have confirmed the attack was previously planned for July 4.

Tsarnaev said his older brother Tamerlan was the mastermind behind the plot. Tsarnaev said the attack was originally planned for Boston's July 4 celebrations, but the brothers decide to move the date up to Patriots day and the Boston Marathon.

CBS also confirms that the younger Tsarnaev brother said the bombs used in the marathon explosions were built in the home of his older brother. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living in a small apartment with his wife and 3-year-old daughter.

As previously reported by Latin Times, the FBI is investigating Tamerlan's American born wife, Katherine Russell, to see what she knew, if anything, about her husband's planned attack. Russell was originally thought to be a suspect when female DNA was found on fragments of the bomb used in the explosion.

Throughout the whole of the United States, July 4 parties are huge affairs. From backyard barbeques to city wide parades and firework shows, July 4 is a day of celebrating America and the city of Boston does not exempt out of the festivities.

Since learning the original date of the bombing attack was set for July 4 Boston police have been working to beef-up security. No doubt as July 4 comes closer there will be new security measures taken to ensure the safety of Boston's residents.

Fox News says that the date of the Boston bombing was changed to April 15 because the Tsarnaev brothers "felt prepared to carry out their plan."

Investigators are listening closely to everything Dzhokhar is telling them. Reports are saying his stories have been inconsistent.

Authorities are closely investigating several different aspects of the Boston Marathon Bombing case including whether or not Tamerlan Tsarnaev met with militants or other terrorist cells while in Russia in 2012.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a police shoot out on the MIT campus. His body was released by the medical examiner to a funeral home in Massachusetts. The body was first released to the Dyer-Lake funeral home, but then moved once protests began to break out. People gathered outside the funeral home holding signs that read "Justice is Served."
