The Mexican actress is revealing she had intimacy with Sean Penn, ahead of the release of the docu-series of "El Chapo" on Netflix. ABC

Kate Del Castillo just released a major bombshell during an interview on "Good Morning America" when she revealed she had sex with Sean Penn, and not "El Chapo" Guzmán as everybody originally speculated. The encounter (or encounters) happened when they both got close to pursue the meeting with the Mexican drug lord. "I never fell for him, we had sex. Sorry but we are both adults, single, and something was going on but that was it, it was business," she said. "Nobody asked me, and it was so stupid they were all thinking I had something to do with El Chapo and nobody asked me and I'm not bragging."

Kate Del Castillo fired back at criticism made by Sean Penn over his perceived inaccuracies in "The Day I Met El Chapo" series: "I said the same thing about his article, so he probably has a point a view, I have another point of view." The Mexican actress also revealed she had nothing to do with El Chapo getting captured by authorities. "That I had nothing to do with him getting caught," she revealed. "I don’t work for the government and I am just interested in my career and trying to do a good story and that was it."

The Mexican telenovela star said that she "totally" put her life in El Chapo's hands and "he also did that" too. As for the night Kate visited the kingpin and he escorted her personally to her hotel room she said: "I think he wanted to have, probably, two minutes with me by himself and to be a gentleman. It was my only opportunity to tell him, let’s not forget what I originally tweeted and let’s do some good." Finally, Kate revealed that her biggest fear that night was that El Chapo would "rape me or kill me." Watch the interview below and tell us what you think!

Sean Penn is not holding back ahead of the release of the Netflix docu-series and is slamming Kate del Castillo for the series. “This is nothing but a cheap, National Enquirer-esque tale spun be a delusional person whose hunger for fame is both tawdry and transparent,” a spokesperson for Penn told Deadline.

"The Day I Met El Chapo" implies that Sean Penn alerted authorities of the druglord's whereabouts following his meeting, which a spokesperson for the actor completely denies. It is reprehensible that, in their ongoing, relentless efforts to gain additional attention and publicity, Ms. del Castillo and her team (who have zero firsthand knowledge) have sought to create this profoundly false, foolish, and reckless narrative,” Mark Fabiani said in a statement to Variety. “The notion that Mr. Penn or anyone on his behalf alerted DOJ to the trip is a complete fabrication and bald-faced lie. It never happened, nor would there have been any reason for it to have happened.”

Sean Penn was able to see an advanced screening of the documentary and said via a spokesperson: “Mr. Penn just saw it and hopes to have the opportunity to participate; there are profound inaccuracies and presumptions presented in Kate’s story.”
