Kate Middleton A 'Great Source Of Support' For Meghan Markle, Source Says

Motherhood has made the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton closer to each other. This development is a great improvement from what has been rumored to be a rocky start for the two duchesses.

A source for Hello! magazine noted that Middleton has been a “great source of support” to Markle in the days leading up to the birth of her son, Archie.

Markle has given birth to her and Prince Harry’s firstborn at Portland Hospital on May 6.

Despite rumors of a rift between them, the source said they now have a great friendship that has grown since Markle’s wedding. The two women are now speaking to each other frequently.

"Kate was a great source of support to Meghan in the days leading up to Archie's birth and, despite reports of a rift, they are family and have a really lovely friendship," the source noted.

Ever since the relationship of Prince Harry and Markle had been announced, royal followers have been wondering what Markle and Middleton’s relationship would be like.

The two women are both previous commoners who grew up just like the rest of the public and both married into the royal family through brothers in line for the throne.

From dresses, looks and actions, the two women have also been constantly compared to each other. Their relationship had also been compared to Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.

Markle and Middleton met at Kensington Palace through Prince Harry’s introduction. Middleton expressed that she was “absolutely thrilled” of Markle and Harry’s engagement.

Last year, rumors ran rampant about a feud between the two royals. The speculation began when brothers Prince William and Prince Harry decided to stop sharing an office, leading to rumors that there is conflict between two couples.
