Meghan Markle or Kate Middleton might never think of getting tattoos, but royal protocol indicates they could after all. Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Zara Tindall says so as much.

Life at the palace or as a royal can be quite restrictive. There are rules and protocol almost about anything and living according to these only can be quite limiting. However, what is surprising is that royals can get piercings and tattoos, after all.

When asked about allowing her kids to have tattoos, Zara Tindall shared that such decisions are beyond her control. This means her children can get tattoos if they want, even though she wishes personally that they would not. She also shared that her husband, Mike does not have one.

“He absolutely hasn’t got a tattoo,” Zara recently told Saga Magazine, referring to her husband, Mike. “I’d also rather one of my daughters came home with a piercing than a tattoo because at least a stud can be removed. I wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if they did though.”

Zara might not be a working royal but she is very familiar with the protocol on how to behave, needing to ascribe to it as she is part of the royal family.

Not that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle care so much for protocols. These royals have already been criticized for breaking royal protocol several times already. In the newest documentary, “William & Harry: Princes at War?” one royal expert, Ingrid Seward claimed that how the two act is worrying Prince William.

Seward said, “I would think it might bother William a little bit because he might see the way that Harry and Meghan do things as being detrimental to the business of the monarchy as a whole.”

Recently, Markle and Harry received backlash too for jetting off using a private plane with their firstborn, Archie Harrison. Them being vocal about solving climate change is also another contributing factor to this backlash.
