The search for the next Latino boy band has begun! "La Banda" judges Laura Pausini, Ricky Martin and Alejandro Sanz were pleasingly surprised with the first round of contestants that got to perform for them on Sunday night. Hundreds of fans gathered up during auditions to vote for the boys that managed to impress them based on personality, looks and charisma.
ICYM, the participants had to walk through the runway and win the hearts of hundreds future fans at first glance, those who managed to get 75% or more during their first impression won the opportunity to perform for the judges for the first time. However, the judges took some liberties and gave some of the boys a second change even if they didn’t receive a warm welcome from the fans.
Following the reality show format, "La Banda" showcased the future heartthrobs’ background stories highlighting their roots, commitment, will power, funny moments next to the judges, and talent. In what was a very emotional night, the aspirants left everything on the stage but only 9 made it through the first round: Ryan Vizcaíno, Joel Pimentel, Zabdiel de Jesús, Kevin González, Luis Gamarra, Jaime Cruz, Yashua Camacho, Richard Camacho and Jason Medina.
