“The Walking Dead” Season 10 spoilers rack up, especially after fans continue to brew theories about bits and interviews gathered over the last few months. Just last weekend, TWD fan favorite Norman Reedus, who plays the roguish Daryl Dixon in the series, threw a shocking spoiler about the upcoming season.

In the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 last weekend, Reedus revealed that his character may be teaming up with the reformed former antagonist Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The two characters have not met eye to eye in the previous seasons, but their shared leadership roles may overlap in the coming season. “We’re not on the same team, for sure, but there’s something between us that we connect with,” said Reedus.

“We’re all kind of heading in the same direction this year,” added Morgan. “I think the Whisperers are an enemy that’s all hands on deck, and I think that Daryl recognizes that. I think that these two characters may find a little bit of common ground within this world, which is kinda fun.”

Eleanor Matsuura, who plays the new addition to Hilltop’s defenders, Yumiko, shares her insights to the new season’s theme. She describes the upcoming season as having a “Cold War” feel, filled with an “espionage vibe” and rife with paranoia. “There’s a lot of double-crossing and wondering if people are telling the truth,” she explained. “It’s more psychological, in a way I don’t think the show’s done before.”

“With the threats that the group is surrounded by, there’s a paranoia this season with who’s who and what’s what and who can trust who,” Matsuura added. “We let new people in and they might not be as nice as we thought they were.”

Matsuura explains that it’s this whole secretive feeling and mistrust that may make the unlikely teamup of the bat-swinging and crossbow-wielding duo blossom. “It might be Team Degan!" she excitedly said.
