Lupillo and Gustavo Rivera are still at odds despite Lupillo's surprise appearance at the tribute concert organized to commemorate the first anniversary of Jenni Rivera's death. In fact, Univision reports that the family reunion has caused an even greater rift between the brothers. Far from finding reconciliation, Gustavo is reportedly unapologetic for trying to smash Lupillo's car with a baseball bat. The brothers have been fighting publically since March of this year.
Gustavo Rivera has spoken out against his brother since the concert. "If you invite me somwhere to talk like men...I go alon, I don't need my wife or my daughters to make a show. It's sad that people are seen this way, it's sad the one has talent but people see the myth, not the human being. People that don't know me don't know how I am as a person, how I treat people." Gustavo Rivera took a bat to Lupillo's car back in March - Lupillo's wife and kids were inside the vehicle.
"I am not aggressive," continued Gustavo. "I am not bad, I am not problematic, but I defend what is mine, and I do everything for my family, I leave my career, I leave everything. For my kids, my grandkids, my family comes before anything. Frankly, it's sad that he's not with the family, because it's him that's not with us, that needs to be made clear. I'm not the problem, nor Juan nor Rosa, he is the problem, but everyone chooses their own path."
