Marjorie de Sousa has been a topic of conversation this past year for her battle with Julián Gil over the amount of money the latter should give for child support. The Venezuelan beauty has now been confirmed to be signing a contract with Telemundo for multiple projects. According to a report on People En Español, magazine that the actress confides in for exclusives, the actress will be the lead in "Al Otro Lado Del Muero" which started filming today in Mexico.

Marjorie's last role in telenovelas was as Cristina on "Sueño de Amor". She played an alluring woman with a powerful personality and an exposed kindness. She majored in pedagogy and came to Instituto Palacios to rescue it from the crisis since she is very skillful and successful. She is Oscar’s ex-wife and Abril’s mother, who is her biggest love. She had a very complicated relationship with Óscar as he beat her up and looked down on her all the time; when she reported him, Óscar ‘kidnapped’ their daughter just to hurt Cristina. Devastated, she gets off to a bad start with Ricardo, but over time, she begins to recognize a valuable man in him, who will help her recover Abril, but also, her smile.

Marjorie's most famous role at Televisa was "Amores Verdaderos," the despicable villain Kendra Ferretti. The role was characterized as beautiful and charismatic. Kendra is socially ambitious, capable of anything in order to achieve her ambitious goals. Her past is hidden behind her super model appearance: She had to become a prostitute at a very young age. Her goal in life is to marry a millionaire. In order to work in Victoria’s advertising agency she becomes Santino Roca’s lover (“Salsero”) who is crazy about her and helps her with her evil plans.

In real life, De Sousa, has been in the media for her court battle with her ex Julián Gil. Back in April, Marjorie confirmed the break up in a statement that read: "The relationship with Julián Gil has come to an end. There have been many versions, including statements from my team that were never offered. Nobody has said anything about the situation, for respect to my son, the public who I work for and because we are public figures that are exposed to personal situations like this that are not enjoyable to share and that at times one can judge without knowing."

"Not only is cultural education in human beings is basic, the formation of values and family ambience are vital so that we grow in harmony, plentiful and in happiness. Accomplishing this is my biggest commitment to my son and to continue working to assure myself that he will not need anything and I know that's how it will be because he will grow up with an abundance of love."

"There's a legal process from both sides, even though from my part I looked for an amicable and personal dialogue, that was not the case from the other party and that is why my team of attorneys will take care of everything, along with the Mexican law, that is where my son was born. They will decide how things go from now on."
