Mark Consuelos’ Wife Kelly Ripa Allegedly Needs Emergency Surgery Due To A ‘Crippling’ Health Crisis

A tabloid came up with the shocking story about Ripa after she missed one episode of “Live With Kelly And Ryan.” When the host returned to the show, she said that she was feeling a lot better.

Ripa also referenced the rumors surrounding her health. “Rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated,” she joked. Unfortunately for Ripa’s fans, she didn’t share details about her recent health problems.

But prior to Ripa’s return to “Live With Kelly And Ryan,” the tabloid claimed that people were so concerned about her missing her talk show. “People were so concerned she missed the taping that they were afraid she might need surgery!” an unnamed source told the tabloid. “Kelly’s not one to miss a show unless it’s something that’s absolutely serious,” the source added.

The tabloid went as far as saying that Ripa could be fired from her talk show with Ryan Seacrest if she would constantly skip the filming of the upcoming episodes. “She knows that in television, everyone is vulnerable. She hasn’t forgotten how she easily slid into Kathie Lee Gifford’s seat even after years of audiences embracing her as Regis Philbin’s partner,” the source said.

But according to rumor-debunking site Gossip Cop, there’s no truth to the claims. The publication also noted the fact that Gifford was the one who decided to leave the talk show in 2000, and Ripa was tapped to host “Live” one year later.

The publication also spoke with a source close to Ripa, who said that the host’s medical issues aren’t something that’s serious. Ripa is still able to host the show with Seacrest, and she’s also able to perform her duties as a mom and wife.

Ripa just celebrated her 49th birthday this week, and her husband made sure to make her special day memorable. Consuelos adorned their entire home in New York with beautiful white gardenias to surprise his wife. The couple’s recent celebration proved that Ripa is doing well.
