Microsoft will be webcasting the opening keynote of their BUILD developers conference Wednesday June 26 at 9 a.m. PT (noon ET).

The keynote will focus on Windows 8.1 and although it has not been announced who the keynote speaker will be it is likely the Windows division's top two executives, CFO Tami Reller and head of development Julie Larson-Green will be the ones to give it.

The BUILD conference runs from Wednesday through Friday and will be held at San Franciso, Calif., Moscone Center.

Tickets for the third BUILD conference went on sale in April and sold out within 24 hours. Like 2012's BUILD, prices for this year's edition went for between $1,595 and $2,095.

As with the event in 2012, Microsoft will live stream the keynotes and a second stream will take place Thursday at 9 a.m. ET, noon ET on Microsoft's Channel 9 website. Other parts of the conference will be webcasted as well such as developer sessions.

With the promise of some Window's 8.1 previews Microsoft has also promised some Xbox One development news. It is being rumored that Microsoft is ready to reveal how all key products will work harmoniously together in the near future.

With rumors of a new Surface announcement, and a focus on 7- and 8-inch devices with Windows 8.1, there could be an additional hardware focus at Build alongside the key software aspects.
