The world seriously needs a twerk intervention, or maybe just Miley Cyrus. Following her horrifying, yet twerktastic performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus has released a single that will literally make you want to throw yourself over the twerking edge. Lil Twist, a rapper signed to Young Money Entertainment, headlines the song aptly entitled “Twerk.” In July, it was confirmed that Lil Twist, who has a close relationship with Justin Bieber was working on a project featuring two prominent pop artists.
And now here we are, with a single that is about 3 minutes long, which features Miley Cyrus, Lil Twist, and Justin Bieber incessantly repeating the word “twerk.” Justin Bieber sings the chorus and Miley croons the most prominent line of the song being “I came up in this party, time to twerk.” Due to auto-tone it is incredibly hard to differentiate between the three young artists voices, but lets just all agree that the most important part of the song is in fact the art of twerking.
Lil Twist is preparing for the release of his forthcoming debut studio album “Bad Decisions” executive produced by Lil Wayne and Shawty Mane (aka Justin Bieber) via Young Money Records. Lil Twist seems to have taken cues from both Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, using social media, especially Twitter to hype his album and “leaked” single “Twerk.” "#3YoungMonguls on the rise.... on #EVERYTHING," he wrote on Twitter. "I'm ready for the world to #TWERK."
