In what may perhaps be an odd union, a woman is left in mourning after her husband who happened to be a dolphin passed away. The aquatic mammal died at the age of 40 after suffering from stomach problems.

As a result of the dolphin’s untimely passing, the woman vowed never to re-marry again. Sharon Tendler, reportedly a millionaire, had an unusual marriage to a dolphin after several months at the Dolphin Reef in the Israeli port of Eilat, Tendler where a lavish ceremony was held, the Daily Star reported.

Sharon and the dolphin date for a while. The 26-year-old is a clothes importer and band manager. She made countless trips to Israel just to see the dolphin. Their marriage was sealed with a special kiss with the woman whispering to Cindy, “I love you.” The dolphin presumably clicked in agreement.

"It's not a perverted thing. I do love this dolphin. He's the love of my life,” Tendler stated. "It's not a bad thing. It’s just something that we did because I love him, but not in the way that you love a man. It's just a pure love that I have for this animal."

After the death of Cindy, Sharon vowed never to re-marry again. She stated: “I am a one dolphin woman.”

Ironically, there was also another woman in Devon who married her duvet. Pascale Sellick calls it one of the most intimate and reliable relationships she has ever had.

The 49-year-old arranged a ceremony with the help of a wedding planner to celebrate her love for the bedding. She described herself as a "rude, crude, spectacular exhibitionist", issued an open invitation to anyone wishing to celebrate with her.

"My duvet is the longest, strongest, most intimate and reliable relationship that I have ever had. That's because it has always been there for me and gives me great hugs,” Pascale stated.
