MMA Fighter Ruptures Testicle After Being Hit By Knee During Training Session

An American MMA fighter has had one of his testicles removed after it was ruptured by a knee during a training session.

Christian Lohsen shared the sad news on his Instagram alongside a photo of him lying on a hospital bed.

“So last night was tough... in a training accident, I got my left testicle ruptured by a knee which led to it getting surgically removed,” Lohsen wrote.

“Thank you to everyone last night that helped me get to the hospital. I'm fine home resting, surgery went well. Doc said I won't lose testosterone or ability to have kids from this.”

“If I lose the other one, however, it's a different story, so from now on, if you hit me in my last testicle, we aren't friends... lol,” he wrote.

Lohsen’s post received massive support from netizens with many of them wishing him a speedy recovery.

Former UFC fighter Mike Perry responded: “Oh my gosh man. Your sacrifices will be rewarded. They have to be.”

Another former UFC competitor, Ben Saunders, wrote: “Dude, sending you positivity in abundance.”

Responding to his well-wishers, Lohsen wrote: “First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for your well wishes.”

“100,000/10 do not recommend for anyone to go through that... but since I'm stuck on the couch while recovering, I've found it crazy how many articles/comments/forums I've seen about what happened.”

“I've seen support from people I don't remotely know and I've also seen a ton of good jokes that have given me a good, much-needed laugh today.”

“Thank you to everyone that's sending good vibes! I will recover and be back! The 26-year-old MMA fighter, who is currently signed to PFL, defeated Jonas Flok in August during his PFL debut in a lightweight contest by unanimous decision.

Lohsen is currently recovering from the devasting injury and hopes to continue having a successful MMA career.
