Ben Affleck is Batman whether you like it or not, and writer, director and self-proclaimed "megageek" Kevin Smith just had the first glimpse of the new batsuit. But not only that, he saw a picture of Affleck wearing the batsuit when he visited his good friend and "Batman vs. Superman" director Zack Snyder. "I saw the Batman costume. More than that, I saw a picture of [Affleck] in the costume," he said during his latest Babble On podcast. "I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this: I instantly bear hugged [Snyder]."

Smith continued, as he explained to fans of the superhero franchise, "You have not seen this costume on film before. For a comic book fan, it was mind-bending, because every other movie does this Matrix-y black armor thing," he added. "There wasn't a single nipple on this suit." As Smith went on describing the suit, he said it was influenced by a certain comic book artist, and although the artist's name was bleeped out in the actual podcast in an effort to avoid spilling way too many details about the new film, a fan who attended the live podcast revealed that Smith said it was "very Jim Lee influenced."

"I think everyone is just gonna be like 'Holy Sh*t!' It's its own thing," Smith added. "We haven't been down this path before. Even the hardest core [most skeptical] person will be like 'Alright, I'm ready,'" he said. And he's definitely not the only one getting ready for this major movie, which is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015, as we've seen Ben Affleck looking bulkier lately. The 41-year old has reportedly been working out twice a day to get those muscles bulging with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson as well as Boston Celtics strength and conditioning coach Walter Norton Jr.

Affleck doesn't mind spending all those hours transforming into the superhero, as he expressed during a September appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," saying he was excited to see how his three children react when they see their dad in costume. "Every kid should see their dad as a superhero, right? It's so awesome, man," the actor said. "I'm so excited."
