Nissan Vision GT Concept GT-R For Gran Turismo 6
Gran Turismo 6 and Nissan will officially reveal the new Vision GT Concept on Monday, June 16. Nissan

Now this is a surprise. Nissan announced a new Vision GT Concept will arrive this month and has finally revealed the first real image of the exciting new car on Tuesday morning, June 10. Initial reports and rumors have already suggested that the new Nissan Vision GT will not be the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans prototype. However, we didn't know it was going to look like this either!

From the released image, we can see that the Nissan Vision GT Concept for Gran Turismo 6 features a very short and wedgy front end. What's more, the greenhouse is visibly extended while the door features deep cuts to channel air into... a rear midship engine?! Obviously, the Vision GT is a mere concept and completely removed from reality, but the prospect of a mid-engine Nissan GT-R is too appealing to ignore.

"There are 148 Nissan cars in Gran Turismo 6. Each car — from the Skyline Sport Coupe and Fairlady Z, to the GT-R NISMO GT3 — represents a chapter of Nissan’s story. On June 10th we open the next chapter,” Nissan said in a post on its official Facebook.

Rumors also suggest that the new Nissan Vision GT Concept will also feature a high-performance hybrid powertrain. Whether or not the new Nissan Vision GT Concept is any indication to the next generation R36 Nissan GT-R, we are delighted to know that the prototype will be available to the multitude when it arrives in Gran Turismo 6 for Playstation 3 very soon.

According to Nissan, "all will be revealed" on Monday June 16. Stay tuned as we find out more about the new Nissan GT-R Vision GT Concept in the days ahead.
