'Nobody Can Stay Happy In Your Reign,' Young Fashion Designer Wrote About Her Father Before Jumping Off 11th-Floor Balcony

A 25-year-old fashion designer, who was reportedly fighting with depression, killed herself on Valentine’s day after leaving behind a suicide note naming her father responsible for the distress she was in.

Ayushi Dixit ended her life by jumping off her 11th-floor apartment balcony in Ghaziabad, a city in India’s Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, Feb.14, reports said.

According to the police, the young woman had left behind a suicide note in which she blamed work-related stress and also her father as a reason for taking the extreme step.

“We have recovered a suicide note from her room which states that she was in depression,” Circle Inspector Alok Dubey said.

The victim had mentioned in the note that she felt overburdened with work and that she was also deeply disturbed by the guilt for failing to achieve a successful career, according to reports.

"Nobody can stay happy in your reign," Ayushi reportedly wrote about her father in her suicide note.

Her father, Satish Dixit, a resident of Kanker Khera in Meerut where he runs his own factory, has denied having any connection with his daughter’s untimely death.

He said that his daughter was always under work pressure and that the family was aware and concerned of her mental condition.

“There was no issue between me and my daughter. She was always under work pressure and she told this to her mother as well,” Satish told the Times of India.

The police have registered a case of unnatural death by suicide and are speaking to the victim’s family members and friends to gain a possible lead into the investigation.

“An investigation is underway and as of now, police haven’t received any complaint from her parents. We will start questioning the deceased's family members about her mental condition soon,” Dubey said.

A similar incident was reported when Shiva Nagu, an 18-year-old college student from India's Hyderabad, ended his life by jumping off his 12 story hostel building after leaving behind a suicide note apologizing to his sisters for being rude to them.

“I am sorry sisters for being rude to you on several occasions. Love you, Mom. Love you, Dad,” the suicide note reportedly read.

The teen was found dead on the premises of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology campus hostel at Bachupally, on, Dec. 23 last year.
