"Once Upon a Time" is getting a new character for season 3. Actress Rose McIver, best known for her role in "The Lovely Bones," has been cast in ABC's fantasy series as Tinkerbell. McIver will appear as the iconic fairy, Tinkerbell, in multiple episodes for season 3.
With this new casting of Tinkerbell, we will be sure to see the characters exploring even more on Neverland in season 3. Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have said Tinkerbell will have a surprising introduction and unlikely connection to another character. Another exciting revelation to come from the world of Neverland in season 3 is more of an understanding of Peter Pan. His mysterious character and nature has yet to be revealed, although the showrunners assured fans at Comic-Con "that he will be a darker and complicated version of the character -- and perhaps a little frightening."
"Once Upon A Time" has also recast the role of Robin Hood with Sean Maguire who will now replace Tom Ellis. Although one major role yet to be cast is Ariel. Oh yeah, the Little Mermaid will be making an appearance under the sea on "Once Upon A Time." ABC's hit fairy tale series returns Sunday, September 29.
