Dying for even more magic and mystery? Then get ready because "Once Upon a Time In Wonderland" premieres tonight! As if the name didn't give it away, the new fairy tale series is based on Lewis Carroll's classic tale "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." And while the show may be based on a classic, it is anything but, the series takes a modern twist. "Once Upon a Time In Wonderland" is set in present-day Wonderland and the same universe as its sister show "Once Upon A Time." Within the series the audience will get the full history of Wonderland with time jumps and flashbacks to the pre-curse time in Wonderland. Not only will the series involve characters trapped in Storybrooke, Maine, it will also have crossover episodes.

The plot of "Once Upon a Time In Wonderland" revolves around Alice, a young and beautiful women living in Victorian London. After seemingly returning from the dead, she begins to tell stories to her father of a strange new land that exist on the other side of a rabbit hole. She describes the bizarre creatures that inhabit her Wonderland, including an invisible cat, a hookah-smoking caterpillar and talking playing cards. Alice is deemed insane after refusing to admit that this world is not reality, and her doctors decide that the best way to cure her of this insanity is to make her forget. But Alice is conflicted, she doesn't want to be considered mad by her father but she can't forget Wonderland. The young girl fell in love when she went down the rabbit hole, and her heart has been stolen by the handsome and mysterious Cyrus. Alice is haunted by the painful memory of her lost love, who also happens to the genie of Wonderland! Right before Alice's operation is set to take place she is rescued by the Knave of Hearts who takes her to the rabbit who informs her that her true love Cyrus is still alive. But as Alice sets out on her quest for love, the villainous Jafar and the Red Queen have other plans for her.
