The CW's vampire series "The Originals" left viewers shocked and looking for answers after the Season 3 finale, "The Bloody Crown." Now executive producer Michael Narducci has given some clues as to what viewers can expect in the coming fourth season.

In an interview with TVLine, Narducci revealed what Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) next move will be now that the Mikaelsons are down. The executive producer revealed Hayley could seek help in curing the family and may be able to communicate with them through their dreams. Narducci told TVLine:

"There were hints in the finale of what Hayley's next move is going to be. I don't want to say too much, but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that Hayley will look to find a way — either by using her own vampire power or by using a witch — to try to communicate with [everyone in the dream world]. She has a giant puzzle to figure out in order to cure everyone, and given that they're dying from a wolf bite, I think you can guess who she might turn to."

Hayley's goal in Season 4 will be to cure Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), Freya (Riley Voelkel) and Rebekah (Claire Holt), but that leaves Klaus (Joseph Morgan) alone to fend for himself. According to Narducci, it is difficult to assume the Mikaelsons will come to his rescue. And viewers shouldn't expect to just jump back into the drama as Narducci reveals there will be a time jump.

"We are going to have a little bit of a time jump in between when the story ends at the end of the finale and when we pick up in Season 4," he said. "That experience in the time jump will be similar to what the audience is feeling. To me, in a way, it actually makes sense."

With the Mikaelsons down, fans have been suggesting that Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) will become the next big bad. However, Narducci doesn't want to give him that label.

"I have never once thought of Marcel as a villain," the executive producer told TV Guide. "He has his own code of honor. He wants what's best for the city of New Orleans even if that means he's got to punish and execute the people that would try to disrupt the peace that he has established...They did something that was, by Marcel's judgement, morally reprehensible. Now he's taken his revenge."

The CW has revealed the fourth season has been moved to a mid-season premiere. It is currently unknown if this is a full 22 episode commitment.
