Philadelphia 76ers Go For Fourth Win On The Road Against Portland Trail Blazers

The Philadelphia 76ers continue their five-game road trip and visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Moda Center.

The Sixers are fresh from a 120-110 conquest of the Los Angeles Clippers while the Trail Blazers will be looking to rebound from a 113-122 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

In the last assignment of Philly, they made it back-to-back wins over two Los Angeles-based NBA teams – the Lakers and the Clippers.

Joel Embiid was at the helm once again, delivering 41 points and nine rebounds. Tobias Harris chipped in 20 markers along with six rebounds and six assists.

“It wouldn’t be happening without my teammates,” he said. “James (Harden) is doing a good job of making it easy for me. Guys knocking down shots opens up a lot for me to go out and dominate.”

The Sixers have an offensive rating of 114.7, 7th in the league. On the defensive side, they boast a 110.6 defensive rating which is 4th in the league.

For Portland, a win can somehow erase the stigma of that 113-122 loss to the Nuggets.

Denver lost despite the 44-point performance of Damian Lillard aside from dishing out 8 assists. Backing him up was Jerami Grant who finished with 18 markers and four rebounds.

“It’s a lot of stuff that we could have done better, but down the stretch I just felt like the refs just decided the game,” Lillard said. “Obviously it’s going to be bumps, it’s going to be a physical game, both teams working hard to win a game. We get down the stretch and it was just like everything we did was a foul. That’s just what it seemed like to me.”

The Trail Blazers have an offensive rating of 114.5 which is 10th in the league. Also, they have a 114.1 defensive rating which is 22nd in the league.

The Sixers are -2.5 spread favorites to prevail over the Trail Blazers who are at +2.5. The Moneyline is -134 for Philadelphia and +113 for Portland.

The Trail Blazers host the streaking Sixers on Thursday at the Moda Center with tip-off set for 10:00 p.m. E.T. The game will be telecast over NBA League Pass with live streaming available via fuboTV.
