Two men are facing drug charges after initially leaving drugs at a rented car at the Albany International Airport. The car rental company had alerted the Albany County Sheriff’s Office after they found drugs left in the rented car.

Realizing that they had forgotten their stash, the two men returned to the airport and tried to retrieve the drugs they left in the vehicle. However, deputies were already in the area following the car rental company’s report and arrested the two individuals, News10.com reported.

The two men were identified as 26-year-old Aasim J. Hilts and Shariff Frasier. Local police ran into the two suspects at the airport and were found to have more drugs.

According to the New York Post, Hilts allegedly had 140 glassine envelopes of heroin, more than 35 grams of MDMA and marijuana on him at the time of the arrest. He had roughly $5,600 in hand as well. The 26-year-old from Albany now faces 10 separate drug possession charges.

Below is a summary of what Hilts was charged with:

  • One count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (a Class A Felony)
  • Four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (a class B Felony)
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (a Class C Felony)
