Is Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles facing marriage issues ahead of Duchess of Cornwall's special day?

The public revelation of an intimate phone call between Camilla and Prince Charles in 1992 fueled speculation about their 'Camillagate' scandal once again ahead of Duchess of Cornwall's 75th birthday.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles started dating when they were still married to different people.

The Duchess of Cornwall previously married Andrew Parker Bowles. Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales married Princess Diana.

Prince Charles and Camilla married in 1996 after both of their marriages ended in divorce.

Camilla Parker Bowles also received criticisms before for her relationship with Prince Charles.

Per Insider, Camilla discussed how the media attention impacted her, saying: "It's not easy."

She explained that she was scrutinized for such a long time that she just have to find a way to live with it.

Camilla added: "Nobody likes to be looked at all the time and, you know, criticized."

Still, the Duchess of Cornwall was able to share the challenges she faced in finding meaningful time to spend with her husband amidst their demanding schedules.

In an interview with British Vogue, she said that they constantly try to find a typical day and time to meet, even if it's challenging.

"Sometimes it's like ships passing in the night, but we always sit down together and have a cup of tea and discuss the day. We have a moment," Camilla explained.

Despite not having as much time with her husband daily, the queen stated she had a "wonderful time" catching up with him.

But there is one thing she appreciates while balancing their senior royal obligations.

Camilla said: "You know when we go away, the nicest thing is that we actually sit and read our books in different corners of the same room. It's very relaxing because you know you don't have to make conversation. You just sit and be together."

According to OK Magazine in February, Queen Elizabeth II sincerely wanted her daughter-in-law to be given the Queen Consort's title after Prince Charles ascended to the throne. The announcement, on the other hand, aroused widespread indignation.

Camilla's future title will be uncertain once her husband ascends to the throne.
