The Household of Their Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall is need of a senior HR advisor on a fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

“This role will have responsibility for a select portfolio of stakeholders. The role will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, and provide an exceptional HR generalist service to the organisation, including benefits, recruitment and HR reporting,” wrote the Household in a vacancy post shared with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Grant Harrold, who served as Prince Charles and Camilla’s butler for about four years, described the rules to Reader’s Digest (RD) such as not shaking a royal’s hand until they put their hand out first and not sitting down until invited to do so.

Despite strict protocols, royals are very respectful of their employees, claimed Simon Morgan, a royalty protection officer for seven years. Unlike snub princes and princesses portrayed in media, the royal family members are respectful of their staff at all levels.

“They’re all very easy to speak to; they’re all very respectful of what your role is,” he said to RD.
