Princess Beatrice — Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s only remaining child who’s still unmarried — has finally decided to settle down, according to a source close to the royal. The Princess of York and her Italian entrepreneur boyfriend, Edoardo “Edo” Mapelli Mozzi, will likely tie the knot next year.

“They’re going to get married — I was told by a member of the family,” Ingrid Seward reportedly told Hello! magazine, according to Express. Seward is the editor-in-chief of Majesty. She has been a royal commentator for more than 30 years and has published numerous books about royalty, such as “Diana: Portrait Of A Princess,” “Sarah Duchess Of York,” “The Queen And Di” and “William And Harry.”

Seward even gave an estimate as to when Beatrice and Edo’s wedding is likely to happen. “I think a wedding as early as next spring or summer is likely,” the author said.

But unlike her cousins Prince William and Prince Harry, Beatrice does not technically need Queen Elizabeth II’s permission to marry. Due to the changes made to the Royal Marriages Act in 2013, only the first six in line to the throne would require Her Majesty’s permission to get married.

Beatrice is currently the ninth in line to the throne, which means that she doesn’t technically require her grandmother’s approval. But given that she’s very close to the monarch, it’s likely that the Queen will be part of the discussions about her wedding plans.

“It’s possible they wanted to tell the Queen that Beatrice was engaged,” Seward added. “They have to find a gap in her diary before they name the day, and this would have been the ideal opportunity to discuss it.”

Fans have noticed the fast-paced development of the romance between Beatrice and Edoardo. In fact, many have likened their relationship to the whirlwind romance between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

But in the case of Princess Beatrice, there might be a very logical reason for the pacing of her and Edo’s relationship. “Beatrice is desperate to get married as soon as possible and is already trying to fall pregnant,” a source told Express.com.

If the source is to be believed, Princess Andrew’s eldest daughter no longer cares what others may think as long as she gets a baby. “She wants a family and doesn’t care if she’s pregnant when they walk down the aisle — even though this would be heavily frowned upon by the senior royals,” the tipster added. “However, the truth is, we could have a royal shotgun wedding on our hands.”
