The highly-anticipated "Project CARS' racing sim by Namco Bandai was slated to arrive back in November 2014. However, developer Slightly Mad ultimately decided to delay the game in order to eliminate a number of bugs before bringing the game to the market. As far as we know, video game insiders expect the "Project Cars" release date to arrive "Mid-May."
According to Slightly Mad studio head Ian Bell, the "Project CARS" video game is already "99.9%" complete. Unfortunately, several "tricky bugs" and other issues have prevented the game from reaching the market. As Bell explains, the anticipation for "Project CARS" has generated the expectation for a quality product that truly pushes the racing genre envelope.
"There’s a high expectancy from racing fans around the world that Project CARS is going to be an exciting new contender in the simulation racing space and we firmly believe gamers deserve it to be in its most complete and polished state when they come to play it on day one," Bell explained. Bell also acknowledged the delays and promised players will receive additional free day-one content "as acknowledgement of how grateful we are."
Console players that pre-order order the game will receive five exclusive vehicles including the McLaren F1 road car, Sauber C9 Le Mans prototype, BMW M1 ProCar, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe DTM car, and the 1967 Ford Mk IV Le Mans racer. Meanwhile, players that pre-order via Steam will receive the Ruf CTR3 SMS-R, Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, and Ariel Atom 3 Mugen. "Project CARS" will be made available on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
In the latest trailer by "Project Cars," we learn that the game will deliver a mixture of real-world tracks and fictioinal layouts that combine to a total of more than 30 race courses. Additional courses including the Nurburgring and several ovals and even karting tracks are expected as well, even though they are not announced.
