Popular psychic Uri Geller claimed that he has the power to stop Russian President Vladimir Putin from starting a war.

He believes that he has the ability to prevent World War III from breaking out between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies, according to The Singapore Times.

Geller, who is famous for appearing to bend cutlery with his mind on TV, urged people to “tickle a sickle” three times Thursday to stop the war. In a bid to get Putin to step back from the brink of all-out warfare, the 75-year-old wanted everyone to rub the Russian symbol at 11.11 am, 1.11 pm and 11.11 pm, reported Daily Star. According to him, 11.11 is a “mystical, powerful, spiritual number."

In an open letter to Putin, Geller also called on him to withdraw his troops from the Ukrainian border. The Israeli-British star, whose wife Hanna’s mother was Ukrainian, said that "three times a day you touch it, and place your hand on this for 11 seconds." He suggested people to visualize "the situation in Ukraine evaporating and ebbing away, and then bombard Putin’s mind to calm down and withdraw.”

He also claimed that in the past, he has been successful in de-escalating similar geo-political quagmires.

French President Emmanuel Macron and UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson have already tried to persuade Putin to withdraw his approximately 130,000 troops from the Ukrainian border. Geller claimed that he could save the day where political leaders have failed. When asked if he could stop the looming war, he said, "I believe so." But he will only step in if he is asked by Ukrainian or US authorities.

The spoon-bending illusionist recently made more bizarre claims. Latin Times previously reported that according to him, creatures from outer space will help in boosting human life span. On Jan. 28, he said that a "baby born today in his or her life time, they will meet aliens who will teach us how to eradicate all diseases." He claimed that life span of humans will go to "220 years average.”

The paranormal expert also said that that there will be a mass alien invasion of Earth “soon," and so he warned the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to prepare for it.
