Queen Elizabeth is worried about the Duchess of Sussex. The royal believes that there is a high possibility that Meghan Markle might feel so isolated like Princess Diana and suffer the same fate, essentially, a royal expert claims. Conversely, she was not as worried about Kate Middleton in the past.

According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, Queen Elizabeth II is going out her way to really make the former “Suits” actress feel very welcomed into the British royal family. One way the Queen has been doing this is by inviting the 38-year-old various royal engagements so that she would feel like she belongs.

Allegedly, the Queen thinks that Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana felt like an outsider when she joined the family and does not want Markle to feel the same way.

“Meghan seems to have forged a particularly close relationship with the queen if you compare that to when other people have married into the royal family,” said Larcombe. This expert already has over a decade worth of experience as a royal editor for The Sun newspaper (via Fox News) in London, so he has a lot of inside information.

What makes this effort to include and engage Markle quite interesting is that it was not extended to Kate Middleton when she joined the family in 2011, after marrying Prince William.

“The queen, last year in the first few months of Meghan’s entry into the royal family, made a particular and slightly unusual effort to welcome her in,” Larcombe explained “Unusual in the context of the trip on the royal train to do a royal engagement. I am 99 percent sure she’s never afforded that offer to Kate.”

This special affection or at least effort is not only observed by Larcombe. Back in April, another royal expert essentially said the same to Fox News, In her interview with the outlet, Katie Nicholl said that Markle specifically bonded with the queen quickly, among other royal members.

“I think what was most surprising, and refreshingly so, was how warmly included and accepted Meghan was,” she said. “It was very important, I was told, to [Prince] Harry that he had the seal of approval from his father (Prince Charles), from his brother and his sister-in-law, but also from Her Majesty the Queen.”

She revealed that this closer relationship between the Queen and Markle could have been orchestrated by Prince Harry himself. “It’s why he took Meghan to spend time in Windsor and a lot of their courtship was conducted in Windsor,” she shared regarding the prince.
