The feud news between royal wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle never die down. The latest news on Prince Harry and Meghan moving to Frogmore Cottage, away from Kensington Palace, where Prince William and Kate are staying, and Kate missing in action during Meghan’s baby shower seems to confirm the dispute.

The coveted glitz and glamorous life of what royals like Kate and Meghan are living now is what many dream of. Ironically, though, a fabulous life is coupled with controversies and criticisms. But there is nothing more interesting and, as bad as it may sound, entertaining than two equally successful woman fighting.

It all started when news spread like wildfire after the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly cried over Princess Charlotte’s fitting for Prince Harry and Meghan’s nuptials. Since then, news of tension between the two has become one of the most read online today.

Is There Really A Feud?

Kate and Meghan have been busy with their royal duties. It would be irrelevant to comment on such issues. The news, however, keeps coming in. And Meghan, the royal palace’s newcomer, is often villainized.

Reports claimed that Meghan is a difficult person to deal with and turned bridezilla during her wedding preparations. It was said that Kate and Meghan had a blow after the latter allegedly gave Kate’s staff a hard time. The incident allegedly led Kate telling Meghan that it is unacceptable.

It was building crisis in the Palace, to the point that the Palace released its official statement. It dispelled rumors on the feud after saying that no such incident happened in the Palace. Despite the official statement, news still surfaced, connecting incidents like the two royal wives not being seen together often before Meghan married Prince Harry.

The cat fight rumors were revived again after it was confirmed that Prince Harry and pregnant Meghan will be moving out from Kensington Palace. Many see it as a confirmation of the feud and that both husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, are easing the tension by separating the household into House of Cambridge and House of Sussex.

Experts Weigh In

Royal expert and author of “American Princess: The Love Story Of Meghan Markle And Prince Harry” Leslie Carroll claimed that the princesses may not be best of friends but are not bickering at each other. While no one has confirmed the fitting incident where Kate left in tears and how difficult Meghan is as a person, the two are unlikely feuding.

Carroll explained that it may be possible that the Duchess of Cambridge was in tears during the fitting and Meghan turned bridezilla during her wedding preparations. Both have valid reasons to act so. Kate has just given birth to Prince Louis prior to Meghan’s wedding and might be hormonal and sensitive. On the other hand, Meghan may have been loaded with stress during the wedding preparations and with the family drama she was involved in.

Carroll further said that both women are successful in their own fields and possess strong personalities and from different backgrounds. Kate is more reserved and traditional, while Meghan is the opposite. It is but natural that they disagree at times. Majesty magazine’s editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward shared the same insights as Carroll.

As for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moving out of Kensington Palace, both experts agreed that it is obviously more of Prince Harry's personality to do so. The younger royal prince is more in favor of a simpler and quieter life. He is also protective of Meghan against the paparazzi.

There were also reports that the moving out decision might have been more of Prince William and Prince Harry’s fallout as brothers, not of their wives. Do you think there is a tension between Prince William and Prince Harry?
