The Samsung Galaxy S3, the iPhone 5's biggest rival, is catching some heat by U.S. based users.

People are apparently so frustrated by the long wait, that Samsung has addressed the issue on its "Frequently Asked Questions" Page. The question is, "Will my Samsung device receive an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean?"

"Samsung, Google and the carrier partners are working together to upgrade devices to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as quickly and as smoothly as possible," Samsung said. "Specific models that will receive the Jelly Bean update. Specific timing for the availability of the Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S III in the U.S. has not been announced."

Samsung said the update on devices ran Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile's will be "coming soon." The update is available for the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S 4G.

But the unavailability does not seem to be an isolated state-side issue. According to YouMobile, the update has already been made available in Taiwan, Korea, Poland and Hong Kong.

Seventy other countries are waiting for the updates, and Germany and the United Kingdom appear to be next in line to get the release - the update pending approval to be released there.

U.S. customers can reportedly expect the update next month.

Samsung calls its Galaxy S3 "the next big thing... advanced, intuitive and simple."
