Shakira will be celebrating Colombia, whether or not her team makes it to the final. Billboard Music announcemed that the Colombian singer Shakira will perform at the Closing Ceremony of the World Cup Brazil 2014. This will be her third time performing at the event - she sang in Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010. Supporters will be hoping that Shakira has greater success than Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte in the opening ceremony.

Shakira will be accompanied by Avicii, the DJ who will join Santana to perform "Dar Um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)." To put the finishing touch on the World Cup, the Colombian star will be performing the single "La La La (Brazil 2014)" that caused such a furor with fans. Although the South American artist is yet to confirm the news which was also broadcast by several Brazilian media, the World Cup theme added more than 25 million followers to her Twitter account.

Despite the early loss of the Spanish selection and the return home of her husband defender Gerard Pique, Shakira intensified her passion for soccer and Colombia when the team made it through to the quarterfinals. "We made it through to the quarterfinals! James Rodriguez's goal was the best of the championship so far. Thank you for everything, you are simply spectacular!" wrote the singer when the game ended. The closing ceremony will take place on July 13.
