Our hearts skipped a beat when we came across a picture of Shakira in a wedding dress. The first thoughts going through our heads were “When did Piqué propose?” “Why haven’t we seen a ring?” “Who designed that dress?” “ Where is she getting married?” “Where can we see more pictures?” “How did they manage to keep a wedding on the down low?” and “Where is baby Milán as the ring bearer?” just to name a few.
It turns out Shakira was not getting married, but instead shooting the music video for her new single “Empire,” from her eponymous album, debuting March 25. Although this time around it wasn’t the real deal, maybe she was giving us a sneak peek of what’s to come for her this year.
Shakira has been very vocal about wanting to marry her boyfriend and father of her child, Gerard Piqué and she has even said she could have “eight or nine” kids with him. "If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already," she said in the April 2014 issue of Latina magazine. "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard -- my own fútbol team."
That’s not all, as she can’t stop gushing about her man. "He's with me because he wants to be with Shakira the person, not the celebrity. There's real love, there's no ulterior motives. And I'm with him because he's the most amazing man I've ever met." She added, "We want the same things, we like the same things, we hate the same things. I have never been with someone so passionate in my life."
Hopefully we will get a few weeks notice before the couple gets ready to walk down the aisle. In the meantime, we can enjoy how gorgeous Shakira will look as a bride one day thanks to the picture she posted on social media.
